The Huk half is a solid bike pad for the back of your truck. It's gonna fall into the more premium category for it. In general, the reason you would select the half is if you just have one or two bikes that you're transporting. Also, if you're wanting to still keep half of the truck bed open for whatever else you may be taking out along with you. The material that it's made out of is TPU, and essentially what that is is a weather resistant, abrasion resistant material that's super soft to the touch that's gonna help keep the bike, you know, keep any damage from your bicycle, as far as scratching. more

Hi Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Kuat Huk Mid-Size Tailgate Pad on the 2020 Toyota Tacoma. Now this is gonna be a great option for trucks since it sits on your tailgate pad and it's very easy to use but since it just sits on your tailgate pad, it doesn't have a weight capacity. But keep in mind, if you want to put any heavier bikes up here like your e-bikes, it might be kind of hard to lift it up that high. Another thing to note, we're gonna have one strap down point just right on the frame. So we don't recommend using any carbon frame bikes. Something I do like about this pad is that it has these adjustable straps, if needed, you can actually take these straps out completely and move it over to another location. more

Yakima GateKeeper Tailgate Pad Review - 2020 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be talking about the Yakima gatekeeper tailgate pad on the 2020 Toyota Tacoma. The gatekeeper's gonna be an excellent choice for the Tacoma because it's gonna be able to hold up to five bikes at once, which is a lot of bikes, especially compared to a lot of bike racks that are mounted on your hitch. 'Cause a lot of times they can usually only accommodate up to four bikes, and if they can hold a lot of bikes they're gonna stick out by a ton. Now, something else I do like is the way it holds your bikes up in an organized way, rather than, if you kind of just threw your bikes in the bed they'd be kind of bumping each other, and scratching one another up. So those are definitely great features about this pad. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer. And today we're gonna be talkin' about the Kuat Huk half-size tailgate pad on the 2020 Toyota Tacoma. Somethin' to note, it's gonna have the ability to hold up the two bikes and it doesn't have a weight capacity, so you can even accommodate your heavy e-bikes. Now, keep in mind, lifting up those heavy E-bikes will be kind of a struggle. It's gonna have one point of contact on your frame and that's gonna be tied down with that strap there. So, we don't recommend using any carbon framed bikes on here just in case it damages your frame. more

Hi, I'm with etrailer, and today we're gonna talk about the Kuat Huk mid-size tailgate pad on the back of the 2023 Toyota Tacoma. In order to take a closer look at a lot more of these features, first we wanna remove the bike. First, we're gonna take this strap and the clip and just pull up on the clip and pull the strap through. Now all I have to do is lift up on my bike, take it out. And now we can take a closer look at our pad. If you look here, we have all these hook on points with these straps and then that's just so we can move these straps from one point to another. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Huk mid-size tailgate pad and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2015 Toyota Tacoma. Now it's gonna be a great way to carry up to five bikes with you in your Tacoma, which is a really solid option because most hitch mounted bike racks can only carry up to four bikes. There's a few specialty ones out there that can do more but I'd argue that this is gonna be the easier method of doing it just because it's pretty easy to load up and it's very cost effective too. But there's a lot of options in the world to tailgate pads so what makes the Kuat Huk unique There's a number of things including the ton of padding that's all on the front, the top and the back which offers ample protection for both your bike and your tailgate. more

Now, this is gonna be the half pad, the one that can only hold up to one or two bikes but only takes up about half of your tailgate, so this whole side here completely open. Which is great because it doesn't interfere with as much that way. Now if we shifted this over to the driver's side of the Tacoma, our backup camera would be completely visible but the tailgate pad would partially block our handle to lower our tailgate. more

Inno Velo Gripper Truck Bed Bike Rack Review - 2022 Toyota Tundra- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we'll be taking a look at our Inno Velo Gripper C-channel Mounted Bike Rack right here at etrailer on our 2022 Toyota Tundra. So this is gonna be a truck bed mounted bike rack, so a little different from your hitch mounted bike racks, your tailgate mats, this is gonna mount to the rails of your Toyota Tundra. So in this video, we'll talk about where does it mount, how does it mount, what can it carry, and how having a short bed on a Toyota Tundra changes some things when it comes to carrying your bikes. So the Tundra we have here today is a 5 1/2 foot bed with the utility rails on the side, and as you can see here, I don't even have that long of a wheel base on my bike and I'd still have to drive around with my tailgate down, so that's something definitely worth considering with this type of a bike rack. The pros are you are able to secure your bike by its frame, you don't need to take off the wheels, the downside is because you're not taking off the wheels, you have all that space you need to account for, so tailgate's down as you drive around. So where this style of a bike rack, where it shines over other types of racks is gonna be the stability. more

RockyMounts LoBall Truck Bed Bike Rack Review - 2022 Toyota Tundra- Video
We're gonna be utilizing the track system on the inside of our bed on our 2022 Toyota Tundra. And we're using the RockyMounts Fork Mounted Bike Rack. All I have to do is take the wheel off, install the RockyMounts Fork Mounted rack to the rails, lock it into place and get to the trails. Not all trucks come with rails on the inside of the bed, but if you have rails on the inside of your bed, it opens up the world of possibilities. Right here is the RockyMounts LoBall. Hollywood Racks Truck Bed Bike Racks Review - 2020 Toyota Tundra- Video
Hey everybody Welcome at etrailer.com, I'm Bobby, today we're taking a look at Hollywood racks tailgate pad, here on our 2020 Toyota Tundra. If you looking at a way of getting a lot of bikes to the trail head with you, this can be an excellent option. Now as you see, we're only on the 53 inch version here today, not covering the entirety of our tailgate. If you are looking for that kinda option there are more at etrailer.com, we just want to go ahead and show up the Hollywood racks here today, and that it is still able to be put on here, you are just losing a little bit here about a hand on each side, which isn't too crazy for ourselves today. Now keep an eye on though too, since we are on that 53 inch version, we are gonna be limited to four bikes on this guy, Now personally I think you might be able to fit just a few more, but we only actually have four straps included today now they are just a simple little buckle system here, and you can interchange their links just by adjusting your cam buckles of course, now the only thing I will say to it though, you are stuck on your shortest length, so here today, we are on our shortest length here on our mountain bike, and as you guys can see, we actually are having to go to bolt up our rails here to make sure that we can actually get a good fit on here. One thing I'll say with it too though, it is kinda be almost shift, which we're gonna tailgate pad isn't gonna be the greatest thing for you, now personally, I think you're always gonna be better served by maybe going up to the Thule gate mate pro, that guy is gonna give you a lot better tie-down points, a lot more padding, but if you're looking for a way to just getting yourself going up to the trails, this isn't going to hurt you, yes you're gonna see a little bit of shifting this on your bikes, but we shouldn't have too much interaction, especially as you get four guys up on here, and we know they won't be extended any further because we do have these nice thick pads on the end too, which will prevent our bikes from actually going over the edge which you do love to see. more

Now guys, this could be a nice little way of keeping your stuff just a single bike carrier that's gonna do a great job of holding onto your bike while it is in the bed of your truck. So, a lot of that weight is being put on our bed, so we're mainly just keeping it in this upright position. As you guys can see, even as I go to shake this thing, it's starting to shake the whole truck, it is nice and secure on here. We're gonna have no trouble making sure that our bikes stay upright on here, as long, of course, as we have good frame contacts, as you guys are seeing. more

So what this is going to do, it's going to take up 53 inches and be able to store up to seven bikes. There is a 60 inch available that'll be able to store eight bikes. I picked the 53 inch because we do have a tonneau tunnel cover. So yes, this will work with your tonneau cover vehicles. more

RockyMounts LoBall Truck Bed Bike Rack Review - 2018 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Tacoma, we're gonna be test-fitting the Rocky Mounts low ball bike rack for truck bed factory track systems, part number RKY1097. The Rocky Mounts low ball allows you to carry up to one or a few bikes in the bed of your Tacoma because it utilizes the track system on the inside to attach it. It simply clamps into place and into the channels here and tightens down with two screws, and does come with a tool to tighten those down. It tightens into place with our skewer mount here, so basically what this does is it works with quick-release wheels, but it also has a lock on the end of it, so once you attach it then it is secure to our mount here. However, it does have enough space in between here to place a cable lock through as well, which you can purchase on etrailer.com.While it does work with quick-release skewers, there is an adapter to use this with through axles, which you can find on etrailer.com as well. Another bonus about this bike rack is the fact that you can move it along the track at any point as long as the bike still fits, so it does have some maneuverability, and it also provides enough space for you to store other items while you're traveling. more

You'll see that we have everything hanging loose still, it's just loosely installed. It just fits over the end of your tailgate like so. more

Thule Gate Mate Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack Review - 2016 Toyota Tundra- Video
Today on our 2016 Toyota Tundra we're doing a test fit of of Thule Gate Mate Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack. This is for full sized trucks, part number TH824. Now this is 62 inches wide, there is also a smaller one with part number TH823. We already have this set on our tailgate, all we had to do was drape it over the top here and even it out and then we're ready to secure it down with our straps. We have 3 straps, one to each side and then one in the center. There are a couple different ways you can actually secure these straps up, one of them that might be a little difficult if you have a certain type of bed liner if to feed it through in between the tailgate and the truck bed, just feeding it underneath. more

Today on our 2006 Toyota Tacoma we're doing a test fit of the Thule Gate Mate tailgate pad and bike rack. That part number is TH823. Now this is 54" wide. We've got it set here on our tailgate. All we have to do is just drape it over the top of the tailgate. It drapes over and catches there. more

RockyMounts Truck Bed Bike Racks Review - 2016 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Today on our 2016 Toyota Tacoma, we're test fitting the Rocky Mounts Drive shaft SD. Now this is a pickup truck bed rail style bike carrier. It is designed to work with normal skewer bikes, 20 mm thru axle and 15 mm thru axles. It is really quite a versatile little carrier that is going to mount right into the track on our Toyota here. Holds nice and secure, no movement, no play. Really overall a really nice set up. more

Today on our 2016 Toyota Tacoma, we're doing a test fit of the Thule GateMate Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack. That part number is TH823. Now, we already have this loosely installed on there. We're going to show you how we secure everything down, and then we'll go over some things that you can actually load up on here. So, I've just got this set right here, and what I'm going to do is start by adjusting it, making sure that our pads are sticking up and are at the ends, and then we'll open up our flack here. We're just going to open up our tailgate and let that hang down as normal, and because my arms aren't long enough I can't reach over to secure my straps into place, so what I have to do is actually feed them underneath my tailgate up under here and reach in between the two like so and just pull it up through, so if you're having difficulty feeding it through the bottom and reaching around and pulling it up, this might be an easier way to do so. Now, when I have that, I'm going to set my tailgate pad so that the tailgate kind of holds it in place, and we'll pull the rest of that strap through and we'll tighten it down a bit more. Now, we'll do the same thing on this side here; pull our strap out, reach it through. Let's go up and then down through our buckle and tighten that up a bit. more

Today on our 2016 Toyota Tacoma, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Insta-Gater Truck Bed Single Bike Rack. That part number is TH501. Now I already have my bike secured down. I'm first going to show you how we do that and then we'll go over at how our bike rack is actually secured to our truck. If you step up in here, you'll see our wheel hook. Now this is going to push on our front tire here and ratch it down to secure our bike up against our tailgate and then to our wheel cradle. more

RockyMounts DriveShaft Truck Bed Rail Bike Rack Installation - 2015 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Today on our 2015 Toyota Tacoma we'll be taking a look at and installing the RockyMounts DriveShaft SD truck bed rail bike carrier. This is going to be for your thru-axle and standard fork mounting applications, part number RKY1085. The RockyMounts DriveShaft SD is going to allow you to carry up to one bike with a thru-axle or a standard fork mount in your truck bed. It attaches to your Chevrolet, GMC, Nissan, and Toyota truck beds with the slotted tie down channels. Another great option is going to be the RockyMounts clutch. If you're only wishing to carry your bikes with the standard fork mount and quick release wheel design that's going to be part number RKY011.
